Farwell Cloud 9, hello Aphrodite!

We purchased a new boat, a catamaran. Her name is Aphrodite, the
goddess of love and passion.
Cloud 9 has once again been rubbed and coddled and is looking better than
when we purchased her 3 years ago. She is listed with and will be sold by
an Island Packet dealer in the Chesapeake Bay. We spent the last 4 days
moving all of our stuff off Cloud 9 and cleaning her in preparation for a
new owner.
Our plan is to fly to George Town, Bahamas, where Aphrodite is, tomorrow and
sail her back to the States as quickly as weather permits. We have a friend
who will be joining us for our maiden voyage.
We are both very excited about this new boat. It is the same kind that
cousins Peter and Tina have. Sailing a catamaran will be a new experience
for both of us. But, what is really exciting is that this boat will be like
living in a house again instead of a cave. We will take pictures and post
them on the website once we return to the Chesapeake, within 2 weeks
probably.
Since Cloud 9 has always been a tempermental boat, I want to express
gratitude and appreciation to her for bringing us safely to this point and
being such an integral part of our lives and adventures for the past 2
years. We feel so very lucky to be living our dreams.
