Underway at last!

After a few false starts, some repairs and a brief visit to see the new grand daughter in Colorado, we finally got under way yesterday passing under the 17th St. Causway bridge at 3:45 PM and raising sail at 4:00. The winds are favorable from the west and southwest. Yesterday we flew the spinnaker until dark when the winds built to > 20 kts. After riding in the 2+ knot push from the Gulf stream we turned east about 3 AM just north of the Abco’s, Bahamas on a heading of 73 T towards Bermuda.
Our current ETA is midday on May 15th. Currently the winds are WSW at 12 kts and the seas are 3′ and choppy. All in all quite pleasant. Jeri made two new dishes under way; a spinach rissoto, and a broccoli, spicy pepper and olive pasta. Both were delicious.
